Jennifer Kwan's thoughts on Corporate Meeting

It was really heart warming being greeted by a group of strangers when I first entered the room .

Being displaced away from this world by all the work piling up and natural fatigue from lectures, it was heartening to see zealous people of God who are enthusiastic about fellowship despite feeling the same way as I do.

We started off with a lighthearted icebreaker, which was in my opinion astutely crafted as we grouped ourselves according to our colleges. Being a complete newcomer, I felt much more at home after identifying people of the same college as me. Straight away I knew that I was not alone and it affirmed me, as my church was pretty keen on winning schools, college by college for the Lord.

Worship was meaningful despite me not knowing certain songs but did engaged with the Lord .I was not very sure what I was into due to unfamiliarity. Should I raise my hands? Should I speak in tongues? I did both very subtly so as not to upset the overall dynamics.

The bible study was indeed an eye opener .I seldom engaged myself in such detailed bible study. Perhaps it was due to me being overly complacent .I now know that there is so much more to the word of God. With peers around me interested in it, I am sure my understanding of the bible would improve.

On a lighter note, the campus staff worker was really engaging and hilarious .He lightened the atmosphere of something, which could be impossibly solemn and perhaps boring.

After all the teaching, there was fellowship. Personally I am amazed by the hospitality of the fellowship .The warmth of the members did make me feel a part of it despite being a member for a mere two hours.

This is indeed a welcoming experience for a newcomer.
